Job Responsibilities

  • Provides and manages direct nursing care to adult patients with specific cardiac diseases or health conditions.
  • Autonomously and in collaboration with providers and other clinic staff, provides advanced assessment/evaluation, planning and implementation, and intervention skills.
  • Provides follow-up care to pre-established patients using written protocols within the scope of practice and PNHS standards.
  • Remains abreast of newest treatment and technology advancements in the specialized area of nursing and cardiac implants.
  • Applies knowledge of advancements using sound judgment in knowing when to consult with or refer patients to a provider or physician for treatment.
  • Provides the highest quality, cost-effective patient care services in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and PNHS standards.

  • Knowledge of both Apple and PC products

Requirements

Experience: Three to five years of nursing experience in a device clinic preferred.

Education: Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred.

License & Certification:

  • Current state certified registered nurse’s licensure
  • BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines

Schedule:

  • 0.8 FTE
  • Monday - Friday, Daytime hours
