Provide nursing care to patients in a professional and courteous manner.
Manage oral chemotherapy care plans and general nursing care to patients in an office setting.
Carry out Physician orders including assisting with procedures and administering injections.
Perform phlebotomy, PICC line care, VAD care, Hickman/Broviac care and maintenance.
Provide wound care and take patient calls.
Clean and stock exam rooms, and call in and preauthorize prescriptions.
Coordinate supply levels and pre-certify patients' medical services.
Assist the physician with all other patient care as requested.
Triage patients over the telephone and in person.
Instruct and inform patients regarding physician orders and/or lab results.
Document all procedures and activities performed pertaining to chemotherapy dosing administration in the EHR.
Monitor and maintain infusion sites and systems.
Evaluate response to prescribed therapy and refer patients for additional services as necessary.
Prepare clinical records and progress notes for each patient visit in a timely manner.
Participate in educational in-service programs and keep current with oncology care trends.
Maintain compliance with OSHA and CLIA health and safety regulations.
Maintain patient care logs and medical records.
