Job Responsibilities

Assists patients in completing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation using assistive devices, and feeding.
Collects and sends specimens including blood and blood cultures.
Inserts and removes peripheral IV catheters.
Records patient information and required data to meet documentation requirements.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Direct patient care experience (acute or long term)
Ability to assist with Activities of Daily Living

Preferred Skills

Completion of a CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course
Nursing fundamentals completed in a BSN program

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of one year of previous direct care experience or successful completion of related course

Education: High school diploma or GED
