Job Responsibilities

Provide, obtain, or perform and document direct patient care activities such as activities of daily living, encouraging and observing patients on incentive spirometer, skin survey, vital signs, specimen collection, phlebotomy, intake and output, meal consumption, height and weight, 12 lead EKG testing, blood glucose monitoring, point of care testing, bladder scanning, and transporting patients and their medical records.
Participate in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives including bedside shift report, purposeful hourly rounding promoting safety such as falls prevention, hand washing, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Accurately document vital signs, weights, intake and output, restraints, specimen collection, and EKG completion, and report changes in patients' conditions to nursing staff.
Participate in unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment/appliance cleaning.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
