Job Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
- Assess health status and complete nursing assessments.
- Perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments.
- Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
- Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
- Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment.
- Develop, evaluate, adapt, and document health education to provide it to patients and families.
- Cover other nursing roles within the department.
- Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- One year of recent experience as an RN
- Demonstrated clinical competence
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Pediatric/Adult experience
Requirements
Experience: One year of recent experience as an RN; consideration of alternative clinical experience for current Cleveland Clinic caregivers.
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN program)
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
