Assess patient health problems and needs.
Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
Provide nursing care to patients.
Advise and educate patients, family members, and significant others on health maintenance and disease prevention.
Document and maintain accurate medical records and reports.
Participate in quality improvement activities.
Serve as a patient advocate in seeking appropriate community resources.
Interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers and other healthcare providers.
Demonstrate competencies in the specialty area of Telemetry.
Manage flow of patients through inpatient and/or outpatient departments when functioning as a Charge Nurse.
Assign resources to care for patients and arrange staffing for safe patient care.
Provide work direction and address issues during the shift.
Act as a liaison between staff, patients, and physicians.
Demonstrate unit-specific Charge Nurse competencies.
Review Physician orders.

Experience: ICU experience preferred

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

License & Certification:

Current professional nurse licensure in Minnesota
Permit from the Minnesota Board of Nursing if licensed in another state
For CICU: TNCC or successful completion of trauma education within one year of hire
BLS Certification
