Job Responsibilities
- Manage daily oversight of nursing operations at the facility.
- Ensure adequate staffing to provide care.
- Oversee delivery of behavioral health/nursing services positively and empathetically.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams and administration to meet residents' needs.
- Address and resolve customer complaints.
- Leadership in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Recognize patient safety as a top priority.
- Anticipate and manage changes in census and acuity.
- Allocate nursing resources based on patient care needs.
- Model customer service expectations and emphasize patient safety.
- Enforce and interpret patient care delivery policies.
- Ensure proper staffing ratios and coverage for call-offs and vacations.
- Complete required chart checks and maintain log accuracy.
- Conduct rounds at the beginning of shifts and perform audits.
- Assist Director of Nursing (DON) with staff orientation and competency.
- Provide mentoring and training to staff as needed.
- Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care processes and outcomes.
- Coordinate care rendered to patients, including physician orders.
- Document medical and behavioral health information and nursing care.
- Administer medications and maintain records in accordance with policies.
- Assist in developing and revising patient care plans.
- Prioritize tasks and delegate staff effectively.
- Lead staff during admissions and discharges.
- Utilize administrator-on-call when additional attention is needed.
- Provide direct patient care as necessary.
- Perform other assigned functions and tasks.

Requirements
Experience: 1 year of experience as an RN in any setting required; greater than 1 year preferred.
Education: BSN from accredited school of nursing preferred.
License & Certification:
- Current registered nursing license in State of facility
- Current certification or license to teach within the state
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification
- First aid may be required
