Position: Clinical Nurse Specialist supporting and supervising staff in a clinical setting.

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $64.19 - $101.34

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports, supervises, and evaluates staff new to a clinical setting during their first 90 to 180 days.
  • Acts within the nurse-patient, nurse-nurse, and nurse-system spheres.
  • Facilitates a multi-disciplinary and collaborative approach in the provision of health care.
  • Promotes excellence in the provision of nursing care through the implementation of clinical standards.
  • Establishes competency standards for staff members.
  • Demonstrates a firm knowledge base and clinical expertise.
  • Functions as a clinical resource and conducts patient care consultations.
  • Provides resources to assess the impact of appropriate practice on patient outcomes.
  • Supports clinical rounds with the multi-disciplinary health care team.
  • Works closely and collaboratively with physicians to establish collegial relationships.

Requirements

Experience: 3 years Registered nursing experience in area of specialty; 2 years Clinical leadership responsibility.

Education: Master's Degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC.

License & Certification:

  • Alaska Registered Nurse License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Current certification in area of specialty (i.e., CEN, CCRN)
