Job Responsibilities

Practice in a safe environment on a locked 18-bed unit caring for acutely ill adult patients who have various comorbidities and psychiatric conditions.
Function as part of a cohesive interdisciplinary team, providing nurse-driven collaboration and patient-centered care.
Be a prime support and educator for patients.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of WI
Current CPR/BLS Certification

Preferred Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Relevant nursing experience

Requirements

Experience: Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

License & Certification:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact
Current CPR/BLS Certification

Schedule:

Must commit to work a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours, per six (6) week scheduling period in direct patient care
One (1) winter holiday required
