Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the DON in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices and protocols.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care by monitoring resident health and making necessary adjustments to care plans.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of nursing staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment through regular team meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure that all resident care is delivered in accordance with their individual care plans.
  • Address and resolve any resident or family concerns related to nursing care.
  • Participate in care conferences and communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and ensure that the facility adheres to all relevant guidelines and standards.
  • Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and surveys, addressing any identified issues promptly.
  • Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and facility performance.
  • Analyze clinical data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of nursing policies and procedures.
  • Manage nursing documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

Requirements

Experience: INSERT PREFERENCE HERE year of nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred. Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.

Education: Registered Nurse (RN) or License Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid state license.

License & Certification:

  • CPR certification
  • First Aid certification
