Job Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of technical skills during a variety of Cardiovascular, Non-ablation Electrophysiology or peripheral procedures.
- Ensure efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients.
- Proficiently perform one of the three standard roles of scrub, circulate, or monitor as per policies, procedures and processes.
- Follow CDC isolation guidelines and appropriately use PPE while performing hand hygiene.
- Identify and prepare patients using aseptic technique.
- Exhibit awareness of hazards that may endanger patients and enforce safety regulations.
- Annually meet all required department-specific competencies.
- Verify orders and facilitate implementation while communicating with physicians as needed.
- Perform treatments and administer medications according to policy and training.
- Function appropriately in clinical emergencies and evaluate effectiveness of interventions and medications.
- Produce accurately written medical records for each patient based on intervention procedures and clinical conditions.
- Maintain authenticity and security of medical records and follow processes for amending documents.
- Perform effectively in one of the required procedural roles in a therapeutic cardiac laboratory team.
- Respond to call duties as rotated/assigned as per policy.
- Proficiently perform diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Learn and upgrade skills; assist with orientation, training, and education of new personnel.
- Participate in quality and performance improvement activities to improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in unit/service line budgeting processes.

Requirements
Experience:
Education: Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Nursing, Radiologic Technology or Respiratory Therapy
License & Certification:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR Certification
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Radiologic Technologist [R.T.(R)] license required
