Job Title: Children's Physicians - Kearney - Staff RN

Position: Nursing Staff

Job Type: Full Time

Pay:

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides direct and indirect nursing care based on established patient care protocol and the nursing process.
  • Coordinates with team members to provide a team-based approach to care.
  • Performs treatments, procedures, and medication/immunization administration according to organization policy and procedures.
  • Completes accurate assessments of physical, mental, emotional, developmental, and social conditions when interviewing patients and families.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of diagnostic tests and procedures with patients/families, other physicians/hospitals, and insurance providers.
  • Documents patient and family education appropriately.
  • Demonstrates care based on age-specific developmental milestones according to organization protocols.
  • Completes all patient care documentation timely and accurately in electronic medical records.
  • Responds appropriately in crisis situations or life-threatening emergencies.
  • Directs other team members in the delivery of nursing care as determined by the office manager or physicians.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in critical thinking skills during phone triage.
  • Maintains compliance with laboratory standards and guidelines.
  • Promotes use of Children’s Connect by communicating with parents via online portal.
  • Takes ownership of quality metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Maintains clean and professional appearance of exam rooms.
  • Ensures appropriate supply and linen levels.
  • Attends required meetings and educational sessions.
  • Regular attendance at work is an essential function.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 1 year of RN experience, or commitment to a Nurse Residency Program if less than 1 year.

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

License & Certification:

  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure in Nebraska or Compact State Licensure
  • BLS - Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association

Schedule:

  • 4 days/week
  • Occasional weekend
