Job Responsibilities

Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN)
Deliver age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs of residents per care plan
Assists residents with daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing
Obtain and record vital signs, provide psychosocial support, and other personal care to residents
Assists residents in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment
Completes food preparation and dining tasks while ensuring a positive dining experience for residents
Aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures as needed
Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, behavior, activity, and dietary
Communicate changes in residents' conditions and care concerns to the charge nurse
Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs
Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents
Support wellness and recreational programs, encouraging residents to participate
May participate in departmental and organization committees and task forces as needed
Responsible for documenting and leading restorative nursing programs when applicable

Required Skills

Core Skills

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Experience in long-term care
Ability to provide resident-centered care
Knowledge of infection prevention and control policies

Preferred Skills

Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care
Completion of restorative nursing training within 6 months
Ongoing education credits and competency testing

Requirements

Experience: Preferred two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care

Education: High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred

License & Certification:

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing

Schedule:

Full time, 40 hours per week, evening shifts
