Job Responsibilities
- Become ATI Champions within 90 days of hire date.
- Prepare course plans and materials.
- Deliver course lectures/facilitate labs and/or clinical rotations.
- Monitor equipment and supply needs.
- Maintain classroom.
- Seek out an approved substitute in case of faculty member’s need for absence.
- Enforce HCI policies (attendance, dress code, clinical policies, etc.).
- Participate in orientation, graduation, and pinning ceremonies.
- Work on retention plans and program development.
- Attend staff and faculty meetings.
- Participate in committees and knowledge sharing forums.
- Facilitate student engagement.
- Direct and assess student progress in achieving theory and performance requirements.
- Monitor student progress and follow-up as needed.
- Provide weekly feedback reports to the ADON, DON, SVPAA, and COO.
- Maintain relevant licensures, certifications, and paperwork for personnel file.
- Maintain a minimum of eight hours of Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) annually.
- Encourage students to submit course evaluations and use feedback to improve course delivery.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Participate in ACEN and other accreditation activities.
- Comply with all governmental regulations and standards of accreditation.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
Experience: Minimum of four years of related practical work experience in the subject area(s) taught.
Education: Minimum of an earned Bachelor’s degree with a major in nursing (BSN or equivalent) from an accredited nursing program.
License & Certification:
- Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license issued by the Florida Department of Health
- Current and active Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
Schedule:
- Teach a minimum of 30 hours per week.
- Obtain prior approval for overtime.
