Job Responsibilities
- Prep charts, check vitals, and prepare patients for care.
- Administer medications, give immunizations, and collect specimens.
- Assist with minor procedures such as wound care and suture removal.
- Maintain up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical records system.
- Support providers and participate in team huddles.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, new medications, and follow-up care.
- Deliver nursing care under supervision in various healthcare settings.
- Perform patient assessments and document provided care.
- Administer medications and treatments while following protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient care.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NRCMA, or CCMA)
- Current BLS Certification
- Knowledge of POCT, Immunizations, and Injections
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent organization and time management
- Customer service skills
- Tech-savvy with EMR systems
Preferred Skills
- Radiology Certification (if applicable to the role)
- Graduation from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
- Current practical nurse license in the State of Missouri
Requirements
Experience:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent and Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program; Graduation from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program for LPN.
License & Certification:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NRCMA, or CCMA)
- Current BLS Certification for MA; Licensed Practical Nurse for LPN
