Provides individualized patient care to ensure the safety and dignity of the patient.
Follows the patient care plan preserving patients' safety, dignity and autonomy.
Assists the nursing staff to maintain a therapeutic milieu to support safety, care and treatment on the unit.
Initiates patient activities and social interactions in individual and group situations/settings consistent with the individual's plan of care and unit safety.
Participates in unit activities that promote competency and a safe and cohesive nursing treatment team.
Regularly attends staff meetings.
Regularly reads staff meeting information as published.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric facility, i.e., an inpatient unit or an outpatient psychiatric clinic.

Education: Graduation from high school supplemented by at least two (2) years of college; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
