Job Responsibilities
- Maintain the efficient functioning of designated nursing units on a twenty-four (24) hour basis.
- Guide, plan, and direct hospital activities with ongoing assessment of the quality and efficiency.
- Assess patient care needs and coordinate the appropriate assignment of nursing staff.
- Coordinate schedules for nursing staff assigned to the area of responsibility.
- Establish and maintain communication channels with medical staff and other departments within the hospital.
- Participate in budgetary formulation and cost containment for areas of responsibility.
- Maintain effective utilization of manpower, equipment, and supplies.
- Assess the need for and assist in implementation of staff education and clinical development programs.
- Assume all administrative responsibilities on the unit on designated shifts.
- Supervise the overall nursing care performance, maintain quality patient care and provide staff assessments with written evaluations at designated intervals.

Requirements
Experience: At least 3 years of clinical practice experience with an emphasis on leadership, 1 year of previous management experience.
Education: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing preferred.
License & Certification:
- Current RN licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday Day shift, 40 hours per week
