Shift: Monday through Friday, with weekend shifts and limited on-call availability required. Each team member works anticipated four (4), eight (8), or twelve (12) hours per shift.

Job Responsibilities

Examining and treating patients
Taking patients’ medical histories
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
Educating and counseling patients
Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
Giving vaccinations and referring patients to additional care
Performing other duties as assigned

Required Skills

Core Skills

Excellent assessment skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Experience with applicable office procedures including suturing and splinting
Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills

Preferred Skills

Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records

Requirements

Experience: 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience required; Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting required; One (1) year of full-time experience in Emergency Medicine or two (2) years of Urgent Care setting experience preferred.

Education: Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants; Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners.

License & Certification:

National Certification
Active state medical licensure
NCCPA Certification for Physician Assistants
ANCC or AANP Certification for Nurse Practitioners

Schedule:

Scheduling flexibility to accommodate vacations and wellness days
Weekend shifts and limited on-call availability are required
