Job Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
- Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
- Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within six months of hire
- One year of RN experience or completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Requirements
Experience: One year of RN experience or completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
