Job Responsibilities
- Monitor ECG rhythms and pressure waveforms.
- Conduct thorough assessments of a patient’s condition via the electronic health record and other means.
- Predict next steps in reducing the risk for patient decline.
- Utilize high-quality cameras to apply nursing physical assessment skills.
- Communicate frequently with bedside care providers and the VICU provider.
- Mentor and support staff with unfamiliar tasks or situations.
- Recognize differences in standards of practice across the system to improve program/clinical practice.
- Assist in conflict resolution to maintain trusting relationships within the care team.

Requirements
Experience: 5 years of critical care experience preferred
Education: Associates in Nursing required; Bachelors in Nursing required within 5 years
License & Certification:
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months
Schedule:
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend frequency not specified
COVID-19 Requirements: Vaccination for MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza required if in an on-site or hybrid workplace category.
