Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluates the environment and makes recommendations to ensure delivery of quality service, optimal patient flow and comfort, safety, and compliance with standards.
  • Plans, leads, organizes, directs, and evaluates the delivery of patient care to achieve sustained outcomes.
  • Facilitates a healthy environment that promotes safety, reliability of processes, and quality outcomes.
  • Embraces workplace diversity and participates in policy formulation and decision-making.
  • Implements continual improvement measures for nursing and patient care standards.
  • Serves as an agent of change and assists leaders and team members in understanding its impact and process.
  • Analyzes, develops, and maintains an effective nursing delivery model that reflects patient and family needs.

  • Identifies, recruits, develops, and retains top talent.
  • Manages team members, including recruitment, mentoring, supervision, and performance evaluation.

  • Ensures development and evaluation of evidence-based quality clinical nursing practice.

Requirements

Experience: Two (2) years as a registered nurse and one (1) year leadership experience.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

License & Certification:

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be required
  • Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) certification may be required
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) may be required
  • National leadership board certification through ANCC or AONL within 2 years
