Job Responsibilities
- Provides individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center.
- Plans, executes, and evaluates the nursing care given to patients.
- Maintains contact with the patient in each phase of their experience.
- Works independently with minimal supervision.
- May be required to travel to a sister center.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Current State license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Ability to work under stress
- Good visual acuity
Preferred Skills
- Experience in GI endoscopy
- Membership in GI specialty or relevant professional societies
- ACLS certification (recommended but optional)
- Completion of Airway Management Module prior to administering IV conscious sedation
- Score of 100% on conscious sedation module post-test
Requirements
Experience:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
